Christmas Punch needle

Angel Face Heart punch needle pattern by Country Keepers. Designed by Donna Munson. The gold thread for the outline of the Halo and Wings is from Handy Hands Tatting, #20, 310 Liz-metallic. It punched beautifully, no problems with breakage. I sewed the front to red felt and turned inside out in the center. Before sewing I cut a slit in the center of felt. Once it is turned, add poly fill, sew up the slit and place a heart over it adding your name and date. Nice easy pattern.

Santa was posted in Wool Works Magazine, Winter 2017, pattern by Diane Knott. This one is punch needle and there was one for Applique.

I did well at the County Fair and surprised to received 3 Best of Shows! My hand applique and hand quilted Lap Quilt, a 10 inch tatted doily and Mock orange marmalade made with yw squash. Dick like the ribbons but wanted to know if we get the jam back. It is delicious. Blue ribbon on the cross, pin cushion and placemat. So I got 24 blues, 5 reds and 4 whites.
Did we get a bad tunderstorm at the wrong time when everyone is picking up their entries and all the animals.

Sodus Bay, New York Light House and Cross Stitch Quilt

This is my design of Sodus Bay, NY Light House. Below is a picture of the light house. It is appliqued with Superior Threads Bottom Line.  I also use it in the bobbin thread of my sewing machine with King Tut on top.

I have embroidered with size 12 threads but not cross stitch. This is Superior Sew Sassy size 12 and stitches up beautiful. The picture of the threads below is what I am using. This will be a double/queen size quilt.

These are different types of threads that I want to try in hand and machine quilting.

Feathered Star began in 2001 and top was finished around 2005. It has surfaced and  has 2 blocks hand quilted.  This was a 2001 series quilt by Fons and Porter’s for the Love of Quilting Magazine. It has 6 blocks and I choose 4 for this quilt. The other 2 will be pillow shams.

This started out to be a wedding quilt, 5 years later it is finally done. I had another quilt in the making but still took a few years to complete for the wedding quilt. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted with a silk batting.
