Pin Cushion Doll

Edging is from the Tatting Book of Nellie Hall Youngburg (1921) on page 5. It will be placed around the neck of the doll. The Doll is suppose to fit in the center of this skirt!

These dolls were purchased at the Dollar Store. Each lady in my quilting group is to make a pin cushion doll. Peggy has her finished. The rest of us are still figuring out how to put this together.

I had some little dolls like this - bought with the intention of putting tatting on them. I think I put them in the goodwill box during my last cleaning marathon. hmmm..you could use a foam or styrofoam semicircle to set the doll in. Do you have any of the the 3" or 4" balls? Or bigger? You could cut the center out and stand the doll in it. That would give you a stable base to form the skirt over.
