County Fair Ribbons

My Crazy Quilt Wall hanging is all hand quilted along the borders and on every seam of the CQ. Surprised and pleased a judge knew the work put into a CQ with the hand quilting.

I also entered a tatted doily pattern by Nancy Tracy, A needle book with cross stitch on 28 ct linen and tatted edging and my 5 pound butternut squash.

Lots of apples this year! Froze 15 qts and made lots of apple cider. Still have another apple tree to process.

I had the center finished on this Log Cabin way back in 2004 and time to finish this UFO! Went to the Sr Center to hang it on the design wall. This is how I will finish the log cabin and will add some applique to the outer blocks. Will put a border around and may be sew some flying geese to the bottom and top. Must put it on the bed to see how big it is before growing some more... LOL

Congrats on all the ribbons! You are right..judges usually don't know all the work that goes into crazy quilting. I grow butternut squash too but don't think I've ever weighed one. I save the seeds from year to year.
