Quilt Show On Line

Whims And Fancies Trunk Full Of Quilts 2015, http://whimsandfancies.com
This is an awesome quilt show with lots of beautiful quilts.  Here are a few of my quilts and wall hangings.

Crazy quilt was started in 2006 and finished 2014. These are long term projects and won Best of Show at the County Fair.  I am in the process  of working on another one.

Crazy Quilt Wall hanging Made in 2012 and won first place in an online international crazy quilt show.

Nativity Wall Hanging. The black was hand cut and appliqued onto the multi colored background.

Butterfly quilt was a wedding gift for my niece in 2015.  The blocks were boms from a local quilt shop. I designed the butterflies, flowers and vine separating the center blocks from the outer blocks. This was hand quilted and the blocks were machine quilted.

Valentine Wall Hanging. This one has tatted edging around hearts and embroidered hearts.

A Crazy Quilt Wall Hanging made with hexagons in 2009.

Mom's Chicken Quilt made in 2012. I think my sister kept this one when Mother went to heaven. It is all hand applique.

As one can see I love to Crazy Quilt and hand applique.  These are just a few of my quilts and usually work about an hour a day. I have many other projects so one is not bored!! (:   Hope you enjoyed my show as I have enjoyed all of yours!  Thanks for hosting Whims And Fancies!!!

that was fun. I am new to your blog and enjoyed the mix of fabrics and stitches. Hand work is having a resurgence. I was in charge of our invitational quilts at our show so i arranged to show the How to make an American Quilt crazy quilt there. I got a chance to chat to the maker and hear the stories. Fun! Crazy quilts and improv quilts are similar in look, but the stitching! LeeAnna

Crazy patchwork is fascinating and such a great way to showcase lovely stitching. The last quilt with the chickens and one rooster in the middle is adorable! Thanks for the lovely trunk show.
