Water Color Barn

A couple of weeks ago I attended my first water color class and this is the results. I much prefer painting from a dvd because you can take your time and back it up many, many times. Usually I tape the painting programs to my dvr. I have an acrylic painting of a gristmill that I need to get back to. Too busy now getting ready for a quilt/painting Show the first of March.

I want to compliment you on your first watercolor. I realize it helps that you do acrylics; but, a snow scene in any medium is a challenge. This is very nice for a first time out. I'm impressed. I liked classes to for the 'company' and moving right along with the work. As you say, if you do it at home ~ one has UFA (unfinished arts) hanging in the workroom. Or at least I did. If I could ever figure out a way to paint from my bed, comfortably (and not spill water all over)..I might re take up a brush.
Thank you for sharing. Bev

Wow, for your first water color class, I think you did a great job on this picture. What nice detail you have with the trees and their shadows too.

I know nothing about art, watercolour or otherwise. I do however like your picture very much.
