Baby Quilt showing the many ways to hand applique.
Hand Quilting the Snowman Quilt. Tools of the trade are Clover Chalk Wheel, #5 mechanical pencil, ruler and scissors. The side is over half way quilted.
I paid $20 three years ago for this Qsnap frame. I now know why this person never used it. Those half rounds are very hard and almost impossible to snap around the frame. To protect the embroidery I used a thin muslin on top of the quilt before getting them to snap on. Because these are hard to add I most likely will not use it again.

I never understood why Qsnaps were ever for quilters for the same reason you've found. They're great for cross-stitch, embroidery, etc on single thickness fabric that doesn't need to get snapped under those half rounds, however!
Found you on SewManyWays!
Thank you for visiting my blog!! Thoes Qsnaps are a pain but I wanted to finish this quilt with a wide border. It is the only thing I had. I did see somewhere how to make a quick, easy and not expensive frame to make. I just might invest in some lumber and do it. However, most of my quilting is done in a square 14 inch hoop.
Hello Linda, I have those snaps ones too. I have rarely used them.. Your snowman quilt is just about done. Hugs Judy
