The Bluenose is one of the most famous schooners in the world. She
was built in Nova Scotia in 1921, and sailed the fishing banks off the cost of
Newfoundland until she sunk on a reef near Haiti in 1946 in 1946. She was the
centerpiece of Canada’s exhibition at the 1933 “Century of Progress” exhibition
in Chicago, and its likeness is still found on the Canadian dime. On the quilt
block, the Bluenose schooner is surrounded by a wreath of Canadian maple
leaves. The wreath halves are joined by a stylized crown which is found on
Canada’s national emblem.
Ms Rabbit, the Flag Lady is finished. It is a hooked rug wall hanging.
Bday gift for my sister. These are so
easy to make up, just think about a Christmas Tree with them. It is a tatted
snowflake with a bead in center. It is attached to the bracelet only at the
top. The rest is free standing and when hung in a window on a sunny day, it
just sparkles light all over the room. For it to hang U need to tat a small
circle with Ps and chain down and connect to the ring and back up attaching to
the first P. That will create a hanger insert. It is tatted with size 40
Lizbeth thread.

Such a lovely post, love your ship and a bit of its history, the crazy hexie is stunning, and the tattered snowflake is lovely.
