Beaver on Log Cabin and small doily

Rose Window is a pattern of Jon Yusoff. It can be a snowflake but I chose fall colors for Halloween display.

The beaver is the last applique of the forest animals on the Log Cabin Quilt. Should the trees be appliqued up through the center or make it look like it has branches??  Or just leave it as is???  There is a front tooth on off white but doesn't show.

Baby loons are finished. Below is the lower half of the quilt.

Block one of the Sampler is completed.

Saturday our group of 6 ladies and 2 gents from Art League traveled to Las Vegas, New Mexico for a Walking tour of Artist Studios. Lots of beautiful paintings, jewelry, weaving and just plain fun!! Vegas is 100 miles North of Tucumcari, NM

This was an interesting chair beautifully carved!

Love this rug pattern and would love to hook it.  Perhaps someday!

Mountain Goat, Loon and Peacock

Finished two more appliqued blocks to the Log Cabin Quilt.

Antique Sampler is a pattern of Ellen Maurer-Stroh. It was a block of Mo back in 2012. I knew I could work it on 14 ct but was not sure of 28 ct. Last year I purchased all the supplies but it still sat on the shelf reminding me to get started. A year later I am finally working on the sampler and very pleased with the results. It is not as bad as I thought but must use a magnify glass with good lighting. There are 4-5 different shades with each element and some blend in that one has to be on the ball!  As recommended I am using DMC from France using 3 strands on 28 ct linen.

Doily, Gators and oh my!!

Needed some gators for my Crazy Quilt Pond. The top Crocodile is by Jane Ebroall. (www.janeeborall.freeservers.com) The bottom alligator is from Dianna Stevens in her book of Animal Bookmarks. He's a Big Boy!!  They are both stitched in size 20 Lizbeth 138, Leafy Greens.

Finished Round 6 on Renulek's 2015 Doily. It has been washed and pinned out.

The Log Cabin Quilt has a block ready to applique this week.

I have been waiting for a few years to dive into this cross stitch sampler. It is stitched on  Linen 28 ct  and you need good light and a magnify glass.

County Fair Ribbons

My Crazy Quilt Wall hanging is all hand quilted along the borders and on every seam of the CQ. Surprised and pleased a judge knew the work put into a CQ with the hand quilting.

I also entered a tatted doily pattern by Nancy Tracy, A needle book with cross stitch on 28 ct linen and tatted edging and my 5 pound butternut squash.

Lots of apples this year! Froze 15 qts and made lots of apple cider. Still have another apple tree to process.

I had the center finished on this Log Cabin way back in 2004 and time to finish this UFO! Went to the Sr Center to hang it on the design wall. This is how I will finish the log cabin and will add some applique to the outer blocks. Will put a border around and may be sew some flying geese to the bottom and top. Must put it on the bed to see how big it is before growing some more... LOL
